Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a Family Wealth Vault licence from Burnt Orange Software Ltd, company number 17022305, 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ (support@familywealthvault.com). Your use of the program is also covered by the software licence agreement shown when you first open it.

Free trial

You can use Family Wealth Vault free for 30 days. No payment details are needed to start the trial. We'll remind you by email before it ends.

Subscriptions

Household and Two households are yearly subscriptions. If you subscribe during your free trial, nothing is taken until the trial ends; your first payment is taken on the date shown at checkout. Your subscription then renews every year at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We'll remind you before each renewal. You can cancel any time using the "manage your subscription" link in our emails or in the program; you won't be charged again, and your licence stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

Founding member licence

A one-off payment for one household. It doesn't expire and includes future updates.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, including VAT where applicable. Payments are taken securely by Stripe.

Delivery

Your licence key is shown straight after checkout and emailed to you. If you subscribe from inside the program, it's added automatically; otherwise enter it under Admin & Access › Licence.

Your right to cancel and refunds

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because your licence key is supplied immediately, you'll be asked at checkout to agree that it is supplied straight away and that your right to cancel ends once it has been supplied. Even so, if you're not happy, email us within 14 days of buying and we'll give you a full refund. This doesn't affect your legal rights if the program is faulty.

When a licence ends

If a yearly licence isn't renewed, nothing is deleted: the program becomes read-only, so you can still view, print and export everything.

Support and updates

While your licence is current we provide updates and reasonable support by email.

Our responsibility

Family Wealth Vault organises information you enter; it doesn't give financial, tax or legal advice. Our responsibility to you is set out in the software licence agreement, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
